An IDE is there to help you develop your application. In production, the application is running, it has moved beyond developing.
So if you want different run configurations for production you have two main options:
settings-prod.propertiesand during the build, based on the environment you are building, replace
settings-prod.properties. This can also be extended to having multiple
settings-prod.propertiesfiles and chose between them in the same way (e.g.
start-app.sh --run-config=configuration-2, etc) or you can have separate script files instead of one (e.g.
