My java app is a consumer to maas topic(say PRIMARY) on which upstream systems publishes their messages. Some of the pushed messages now needs some delay(say 10 min) before my app starts processing it.
i already have another self maintained maas topic(my app itself is the consumer for this queue) for retrying(say RETRY) in case of any non-fatal/transient failure is encountered, i was thinking of pushing messages with delay requirement on to RETRY topic with configuring this #setDeliveryDelay method
but from what i read, seems like this will hold onto system resources till configured amount of time, and given that JmsTemplate's send spawns a async thread to push a message, this may end up spawning too many thread causing memory issues.
Am i taking right here? Any suggestion on what approach could be employed here?
