What I understood with GraphQL is a single endpoint with schema as post body. No doubt it has many advantages but what I couldn't understand is how to post data to the backend?

Most of the examples of GraphQL I've seen are about how to query backend to get the data using the GraphQL schema. But I haven't seen any example about how to post data to backend.

Should we have 2 POST endpoints? one for query with schema and another for posting data with schema compatible actual data?

  • I think "mutation" is used to post the data. – Amit Kumar Gupta Oct 19 at 6:04
