I have a few systems where we are currently using ADFS as our federation and the OpenId connect "protocol".
What I would like to achieve is a way where the user authenticates over our Active Directory using ADFS as our federation, but somehow I would like to enrich the token with a bunch of additional claims/attributes, these claims are to be stored/configured in an external system.. So basically I want to create some sort of "middleware" to enrich the token with my custom claims.
Im fairly new to ADFS, but is this whats called a claims provider? If not.. whats the "technical tearm" of what Im trying to describe? And I would very much appreciate any links to documentation regarding to how to achieve this. The plan is that the external system containing the claims would be written from "scratch" using .net, so any docs that might help out are also very appreciated.
