Is it ok if I can't solve a problem when sitting in front of a computer?

I do programming as a hobby, and I'm a beginner. When I'm sitting in front of a computer I can't solve some problems, most times. For example I was trying to find if a number is a power of another, I couldn't solved it, until I held a pen and a paper and analyzed the problem, in 3 minutes, approx, I solved it and wrote the script in Python. Sometimes I can solve some problems when sitting in front of a computer, but with some struggle. Is that ok?!
