Why is it that everywhere I look I see programmers saying "Firefox/Firebug is the best for web development!". For the LONGEST time I thought the same, until I seriously sat down and started looking into Opera. It seems to me that Opera has all of the same web development functionality as FF built into it. Here are the things I see about Opera

The built in dev tools remind me A LOT of firebug, and in some ways they are much better

You can validate any page just by right clicking on the page and clicking on validate.

FF gets bogged down by extensions which makes it much slower than Opera

Opera has always been viewed as one of the leaders in standards

I love the built in mail functionality (although many would disagree on this one).

All of your data can be synchronized across systems without any extra extensions

OH and my favorite, when an alert box shows up, it gives you a checkbox to stop running scripts on the page. I can not stress how much time this has saved me

In fact, after using it for awhile, I have no idea why everyone is so obsessed with FireFox, except for the simple fact that they have not tried (dont want to learn) another browser like Opera. So my question is, "What is wrong with Opera for web development?"
