I am an ex-theoretical physicist, ex-UNIX systems programmer, ex-independent consultant, ex-analyst, ex-author, ex-trainer, ex-expert witness now doing what I want till I am an ex-human being. I remain interested in concurrency and parallelism; programming and programming languages (e.g. Python, Kotlin, Groovy, D, Chapel, Rust, Go, C++, Ceylon, Java, Scala, Haskell, Ruby, Clojure, Fortran, to name just a few) and how to use them idiomatically, especially in a concurrent and parallel context. Also version control (Bazaar, Git, Mercurial) and build (SCons, Meson, Gradle, CMake, etc.). In the past I worked on a trio of pre-money start ups, which all, for various reasons, failed to make me a billionaire.
