I was a civil architect that has always had a little bug about programming.
In December 2013 I started working at a company that wanted to put together a reservation website in PHP. As things progressed that website became more complex and turned towards a little framework with API endpoints and I truly learnt a lot from it, specially in regards to database architecture.
In September 2014 I got an opportunity to join a company that gave me the opportunity to go through a full 6 months training period to learn RPGLE, DB2 and everything AS400. Currently I'm still at this company developing Financial Software. I'm integrated in the Core Development Team that handles database integrity and API development for our various front-ends, TN5250 included.
On the side-lines I'm looking into RESTful API's with NodeJS and AngularJS to try and keep up with the trends.
