Coming soon, a new "interpretation" on American's Greatest Author:
For English speakers learning Spanish, and vice-versa, I have created a dual-language version of Mark Twain's classic, "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer."
Each paragraph is presented first in the original English and then in the Spanish translation. It also contains about 20 of the original illustrations (by True Williams) and is sprinkled with contextual/historical annotations throughout (by me, a Twainiac and amateur historian).
I have revived The Overland Monthly, and given it the rather obvious name The New Overland Monthly. It is all about California, past and present. It contains photos of California, history, alternative history, short stories, articles about California Counties, Highways, Parks, etc.
Here are the covers of the first four issues:
I completed writing a series of creative/alternative histories of the 50 States that make up the Ewe-Knighted States, as well as one of the country as a whole.
Here are a few of the covers:
Each book is 32 pages long, and is half text and half (wikimedia) images.
My amazon author page is here.
I have lived in eight states; besides my native California (where I was born and where I now again reside) in chronological order I have infested: New York, Montana, Alaska, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Idaho, and Missouri.
I am a writer of both fiction (for which I use the nom de guerre "Blackbird Crow Raven", as a nod to my Native American heritage - I am "½ Cowboy, ½ Indian") and nonfiction, including a two-volume social and cultural history of the U.S. which covers important events from 1620-2006 and can be downloaded gratis here.
