Aug 16, 2011 at 13:14 comment added Wonko the Sane IMO, "Quit this job" is a cop-out, easy-to-say-from-the-anonymous-Internet answer. That's not to say I don't understand the reasoning, but choosing to stay or go has to be a very personal decision (we certainly don't know the whole story, or whether his personal life would even make this possible, or...).

Aug 16, 2011 at 8:56 comment added Chiron @Raynos It is ok, it is not personal :)
Aug 16, 2011 at 8:53 comment added Raynos @TheLegendOf1982 he means "someone is in the same situation as me, this is a relief" please don't take it personal.
Aug 16, 2011 at 8:49 comment added Raynos @domanokz it's not a question of running away from problems, it's a question of whether you want to spend your time working with people in such situations. Simply put the development atmosphere is not top-notch, if it was you wouldn't have a code base in a such a state. If it were me I wouldn't settle for anything less then a top-notch development atmosphere. Then again financial sustain can be more important then ideology.
Aug 16, 2011 at 8:49 comment added Chiron @damonokz Sorry maybe I misunderstood something but you said "Anyway, its a relief that somebody understands the situation". So the guys here who are trying to answer your question and spending their own time don't understand the situation?
Aug 16, 2011 at 8:47 comment added synapse @domanokz It's cool (and profitable, too) to be a part of task force to clean the mess, but it's really demoralizing to work in environment where nobody cares.

Aug 16, 2011 at 8:40 comment added kazinix Well this is one great answer, I like it. But you know, I gave my word to my boss, also, what kind of programmer would I be if I'll just run away from such problems. Anyway, its a relief that somebody understands the situation. Thanks!
