Jan 9, 2011 at 0:07 comment added Rene Saarsoo I made many attempts of writing games in the beginning. Without basic algorithms-and-data-structures course under my belt I usually failed miserably. I was often banging my head against the impenetrable wall. But I did manage to complete some simple games. And when I did, it was a moment of great satisfaction. So I guess everybody should at least attempt to write a game. It's going to hurt, but it's good for you.
Dec 30, 2010 at 16:33 comment added randomperson25 Games are some of the hardest applications to write. They involve many components and require detailed understanding of platform you are writing for. I don't think this would be a good place to start for someone struggling to grasp basic concepts.

Dec 29, 2010 at 22:26 comment added Josh Smeaton I didn't start with a game. I'd find that beyond complex =P
