All the nuances, bug fixes, edge cases. It may not be appropriate in this particular case, but it could be appropriate in general. Being able to use, yourself, a piece of software you've written is a great thing.

Dec 30, 2010 at 9:58 comment added Josh Smeaton I'd actually agree with you in principle. The OP is asking about useful software though. An mp3 album lister would be a good choice. A basic mp3 player would be better, as he'd get to experience the difficulties a project faces. Including LOC.
