I made my first horrifically coded website with MS Frontpage in about 2002, and it took me a while to get over my fear of html and css, which I have now conquered though not perfected. In 2014 I started trying to build a dynamic website with Javascript, assuming as per w3schools' tutorials that I would have to send it to a remote server with php. But the php + mysql code looks like hell baked over, and nothing on the php website makes sense to me, so I have started learning Python and had chosen Postgresql over mysql from the start. Since I honestly can't see myself dealing with a lot of boilerplate and security issues at this stage of my self-education, I am trying to learn Web2py simultaneously with Python, and I hope to post my first dynamic test website on Pythonanywhere.com somewhat before true fluency sets in. My goal is to eventually have one or more dynamic websites that people will subscribe to or donate to because they are so awesome.
